Thompson Paces Golf in Opening Round of Carpetbagger Classic
Shawn Marie Cichowski Golf 3/22/2026 1:18:00 PM Led by a two-over par 74 from freshman Cole Thompson, the Canisius golf team opened the spring portion of its 2026 schedule Saturday with the first round of The Carpetbagger Classic at Worthington Manor Country Club in Urbana, Md. Thompson finds himself in a tie for 18th place after his season-low round that saw him post a one-over par 37 on both nines.
