Tennis Bested by Shenandoah
SWEET BRIAR, Va. 鈥� The Sweet Briar College tennis team (1-6, 1-3 ODAC) dropped a tight 4-3 decision to the Shenandoah University Hornets (2-7, 1-2 ODAC) on Sunday afternoon at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center. In doubles play, the Vixens saw a victory on court one with a 7-5 win by seniors Lucia Bovard (Mount Pleasant, N.C.) and Alex Guilarte (Barquisimeto, Venezuela). Victories in singles play were garnered by Guilarte, junior Maggie Minton (Wytheville, Va.) and sophomore Ari Venturi (Richmond, Va.).
