ATLANTA – UAB Track & Field completed its Outdoor season opener this weekend as the Blazers travelled to Georgia Tech for the Yellow Jacket Invite. Jasmine Dereje was the highlight of the weekend as the junior won the 400m Hurdles on Saturday. Dereje finished first of 17 runners in the event and finished in 59.50 seconds. Kat Duren had a good opening meet in the 100m Hurdles. Duren placed seventh out of 29 runners and finished with a time of 14.09 seconds.
