Notre Dame men鈥檚 fencing wins national championship
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame men鈥檚 fencing team defeated Columbia 91-81 on home soil Sunday to claim the 2026 NCAA Men鈥檚 Fencing National Championship. The victory came two days after the Notre Dame women鈥檚 fencing team won the NCAA national championship. It鈥檚 the program鈥檚 16th national title overall. The program claimed two national titles this year due to a format change that saw men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 teams competing in separate, standalone team championships for the first time since 1989.
