Men’s Track & Field Has Several Strong Performances in Outdoor Season Opener at Penn
PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Villanova opened the outdoor track & field season with several strong performances in the sprints and throws at the Penn Challenge on Saturday afternoon. The contingent of Wildcats at the meet competed in the 400 meters on the track as well as the long jump, shot put, discus, hammer and javelin at Franklin Field. Freshman Ty Hoffmann made his collegiate debut in the 400 meters and came in fourth out of 16 competitors with a time of 49.32.
