Klatsky breaks school record in javelin in impressive outdoor debut at Emory

ATLANTA — First-year George Klatsky smashed the Bates post-1984 school record in the javelin on Friday, highlighting the two-day Emory Spring Break Classic for the men’s outdoor track and field team. Meet Highlights Klatsky (Falmouth, Maine) unleashed a throw of 215-11 (65.82m) to take first place in the javelin on his second-to-last attempt of the day. The toss breaks the previous Bates post-1984 record of 203-4, set by Tyler Harrington ’19 in 2017.
