Eagles Shut Out at UNCW
WILMINGTON, N.C. – In the second straight day of competition, North Carolina Central women's tennis had a tough outing at UNC Wilmington, falling 7-0 on Sunday afternoon. NCCU (4-7) entered singles play trailing 1-0 after the Seahawks swept the doubles point. UNCW (7-3) carried that momentum into singles action, where the Eagles dropped five matches in straight sets. Patricia Palencia was the lone Eagle to claim a set, taking the first 7-6 before UNCW's Katelyn Hubbard responded by winning the second set and securing the match with a 10-5 tiebreak.
