COLUMBUS, Ohio – Capital picked up a strong home victory on Sunday afternoon, defeating Spalding, 11-7, at Bernlohr Stadium to even its record at 4-4 on the season. The Comets used a dominant second quarter to seize control of the contest, outscoring the Golden Eagles 5-2 in the frame to take a 7-3 lead into halftime. Capital never relinquished that advantage, holding off a late push from Spalding in the fourth quarter.
