Captains Men鈥檚 Golf Records Historic Finish at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. — Etching another historic performance into the record books, the Christopher Newport men’s golf team fired an eight-over 872 (295-289-288) at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational to finish tied for 14th in the 30-team event. The Captains were led by freshman Patrick O’Rourke (-4) with a top-25 individual finish. The 872 is tied for tied for eighth all-time in program history for total score and in relation to par, the eight-over is tied for the fifth-best 54-hole tournament performance.
