Women’s Lacrosse Tops Kalamazoo In OT Thriller
WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Sarah Hawkins buried the golden goal 47 seconds into overtime as the Whitman College women’s lacrosse team edged Kalamazoo College 13–12 in a wild back-and-forth thriller Saturday afternoon at James Hayner Field. Hawkins finished with four goals and one assist, including the overtime winner on a woman-up chance and two fourth-quarter strikes that erased a 10–8 deficit and pulled the Blues even at 10–10. She also collected five draw controls as Whitman overcame a 17–10 disadvantage on the circle and a monster 8-goal, 10-point performance from Kalamazoo attacker Ella Spooner.
