WestConn Baseball Opens LEC Play With Setbacks At UMass Boston
BOSTON, Mass. – The visiting Western Connecticut State University trailed, just 3-2 in the sixth inning of game one and led in the fifth inning of game two, but ended the day with a pair of losses against the University of Massachusetts-Boston Beacons in Little East Conference (LEC) baseball action this afternoon at Monan Park. WestConn lost its LEC opener, 11-2, and the second game, 8-5, to the Beacons to fall to 4-8 and see its losing streak extend to seven games.
