UNC Asheville Stops Three-Match Women’s Tennis Win Streak
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — UNC Asheville handed the Longwood women’s tennis team its first Big South loss of the season, winning 4-3 on Saturday. The Bulldogs improved to 9-6 overall and 2-0 in the league while Lancers fell to 6-4 and 1-1, seeing their three-match winning streak come to an end. Asheville took the doubles point and expanded its lead to 3-1 before Sofia Segui cliched the match at No. 4 with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Oriana Izarra.
