Softball Takes Loss to Creighton
OMAHA, Neb. 鈥� The Villanova softball team lost 11-3 to Creighton Saturday at the Creighton Sports Complex. With the loss, the 'Cats (6-24, 2-6 BIG EAST) dropped the series. Carly Zych (L, 2-2) got her sixth start of the season, pitching an inning and a third, walking three and giving up five runs on two hits. Zych, who also was batting sixth in the lineup, opened the scoring in the game in the top of the second after she hit her first career home run, a solo shot off the foul pole in left field.
