Softball: Alvernia Sweeps Widener
Chester, Pa. (March 21, 2026) – Alvernia University (8-8, 3-1) posted two victories over Widener University (3-9, 0-4) Saturday afternoon in a MAC Commonwealth softball doubleheader at Widener. The Golden Wolves took down the Pride in game one, 3-0, on the back of a complete game shutout by Natalie Berwick. Berwick tossed 7 innings, scattered just four hits and did not allow a run. Berwick also fanned five batters and in doing so, eclipsed the 100 career strikeout mark. Alvernia then took down the Pride in game two, 7-1, and rattled off an impressive 16 hits, the most this season.…
