Rams sweep Eureka in home opener, move to 9-1
MOUNT VERNON – Cornell took two from Eureka (0-8) on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Van Matre Family Softball Complex, winning game one 8-0 in 5 innings and game two 3-1. Game 1 – Junior Corrin Kennedy got the Rams going early with a two-run homer (fourth of the year) in the bottom of the first. Alexa Corona singled to start the inning. Cornell (9-1) broke the game open in the fourth, scoring four runs. Brianna Risley started the inning with single to left field, followed by two walks to load the bases.
