No. 3/3 Lynchburg Sweeps Guilford On The Road
Greensboro, N.C. — The University of Lynchburg baseball team took a trip to Guilford for a Saturday double header and won both games, the first with a 6-5 final and the second 17-2 in seven innings. In game one, the No. 3/3 Hornets (15-3-1, 6-0-1 ODAC) struck first against the Quakers (9-11, 1-6) in the opening inning when Brandon Garcia homered down the right-field line. Benton Jones later stole home to make it 2-0. Guilford answered quickly with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first and added another run in the second to take a 4-2 lead.…
