Late Rally Falls Short at Widener
A fourth-quarter rally came up short as the Misericordia University women’s lacrosse team fell at Widener, 15-7, Saturday. The Cougars used a 5-1 run to get within 11-7 with 4:40 to play, but the Pride answered with four goals over the final 3:09 to clinch the win. Ashtyn Torbert led the Cougars with three goals, three draw controls and three caused turnovers. Kristen Travaglini scored twice and Delaney Campanella had a goal and two assists.
