Iona WLAX Fall In Defensive Battle 5-4 To Sacred Heart
NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona University women's lacrosse team dropped a narrow 5-4 decision to Sacred Heart in a defensive MAAC matchup on Saturday at Mazzella Field. Despite a strong second-half push, the Gaels could not overcome an early four-goal deficit. Sacred Heart controlled the first half, building a 4-1 lead behind two goals each from Jamie Tanner and Erin Herrold.
