Cornell bounces back to earn home-opening split
MOUNT VERNON – Reigning NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week Logan Gannon tossed seven scoreless innings in Saturday’s 12-7 Game 2 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran to help Cornell’s baseball team salvage a home-opening split at Ash Park Field. The visiting Warriors (4-8) took the opener, 10-1. The teams face off in the rubber game of the series at 11 a.m. Sunday in Mount Vernon. The Rams (7-7) have split all six doubleheaders they’ve played this season.
