Boxers drop NWC opener at Linfield
MCMINNVILLE – The Pacific women’s lacrosse team opened Northwest Conference play Saturday afternoon with a 12-4 loss at Linfield. The Boxers led 2-1 with 9:24 remaining in the second period thanks to goals by Ellena Willingham and Erin Casey . But the Wildcats responded with five straight goals to take a 6-2 advantage early in the third quarter. Willingham ended Pacific’s scoring drought on assist from Cameron Cabuco with 4:43 remaining in the third to get the Boxers within 6-3.
