Barons Fall to Toppers in Doubleheader
MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Brewton-Parker Christian University (BPCU) Barons softball team traveled to Blue Mountain, Mississippi, to play the Toppers of Blue Mountain Christian University in a SSAC doubleheader. The Barons battled in both games but fell short, dropping game one 7-5 and game two 4-3. In the opener, Brewton-Parker built early pressure but could not overcome a five-run second inning. The Barons struck first in the top of the first when Tori Wright drew a walk, stole second, and later scored on a wild pitch to give Brewton-Parker a 1-0 lead.
