West Competes in 100 Backstroke at NCAA Championships, Set for Final Event Saturday

Swimming & Diving 3/20/2026 11:40:00 AM INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. 鈥� Wabash College sophomore Ryan West returned to the pool Friday morning at the IU Natatorium, competing in the 100-yard backstroke preliminaries at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. West posted a time of 49.85 seconds in the second heat, finishing 0.58 seconds off his school-record mark in the event. His time was not fast enough to qualify for Friday evening's finals.
