VMI throwers start off Big South-SoCon Challenge
ASHEVILLE, N.C. 鈥� The VMI track and field team is off to a great start to the 2026 outdoor season with the throwers getting underway on Day 1 of the 2026 Big South-SoCon Challenge hosted by UNC Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina. On the men's side, senior Isaiah Blount earned a javelin throw of 41.32 meters for sixth place for the event. For the women, freshman Jada James logged a hammer throw of 29.53 meters for 16th place.
