Simpson baseball takes the weekend opener against Caltech 11-3
REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson baseball team began its three-game series against DIII opponent Caltech with an 11-3 game one victory to begin the weekend homestand. The Beavers drew first blood in the first inning as they began the game with a leadoff double, which came around to score on an RBI single by Mark Hu. The Red Hawks tied the game in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI single by JJ Torrente before retying the game in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Tyler Haruta .
