Scott Earns Win in the 5k in First Outdoor Track and Field Action
MARION, Ind. - The Golden Grizzlies opened their outdoor season on Friday, Mar. 20, as they headed to the Polar Bear Invite, competing in the men's and women's 5K races. The women started the action, as Makenna Scott sped to her first win of the outdoor season, taking the top spot in the women's 5K with a time of 18:19.01. Ellie Voetberg (18:39.39) placed third, while Anne May (18:42.84) finished fourth for the Golden Grizzlies. Ava Alicandro rounded out the Golden Grizzlies' top-10 finishers with a time of 18:50.98.
