Pioneer women鈥檚 tennis team falls to 13th-ranked team in the nation
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Grinnell College’s women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to 13th-ranked Johns Hopkins University in a spring break match Friday. Grinnell’s victory came from Logan Tom ’29 at the No. 3 singles spot, where she outlasted her foe 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (11-9). Though Grinnell lost all three doubles matches, Tan Mukherjee ’26 and Eliana Martin ’29 gave their opponent at the No. 2 slot all they could handle before the Johns Hopkins duo eked out a 7-6 (7-3) decision Grinnell, 9-2 on the season, closes out its trip Saturday against Mary Washington.
