Pennington Secures All-American Nod with Fourth Place Finish in the 100 Backstroke on Day 3 of NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships
INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Ella Pennington notched her second-straight All-American honor in the 100 backstroke on Day 3 of the 2026 Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. UPDATED RESULTS Action takes place at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University-Indianapolis. After clocking in at 54.95 in the morning preliminaries, Pennington timed in 54.68 in the evening finals for a fourth-place finish. Last season, she placed seventh in the same event. It is her sixth career All-American honor. Tomorrow, Pennington will compete in the 200 back with teammate Kaitlyn Crouthamel in 1650 free in the final day of the championships.
