Nadel butterfly, breaststroke double leads Mammoths on third day of NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Senior Fynlan Nadel notched two top-25 finishes as the Amherst College men's swimming and diving team competed on the third day of the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday at Indiana University Indianapolis. Nadel finished 21st in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:48.46 in the trials. Sophomore Jack Goepfrich was close behind, placing 23rd with a personal-best time of 1:48.53. The two Mammoths marked Amherst's return to the national stage in this event, becoming the first Amherst swimmers to compete in the 200 fly at nationals since 2017.
