Golden Eagles Fall 6-1 to Georgetown
The Marquette University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Georgetown on Friday afternoon. The Hoyas started the match by winning the doubles point with victories at the first and third positions, giving them a 1-0 advantage. WMU then picked up four singles victories to seal the match. Kristian Blagoev recorded the lone point for the Golden Eagles as he saw his match go into extended sets. Blagoev dropped the first set 1-6 against James O'Sullivan, but responded in the second taking the tiebreak 7-6. It was all Blagoev in the superset as he clinched the point 11-9. UP...
