Eagles Open Outdoor Season with Record-Breaking Day at UCF
ORLANDO, FLA. – The Georgia Southern Eagles opened the 2026 outdoor season in strong fashion, turning in a record-setting Day One at the Black and Gold Challenge, hosted by UCF. The Eagles tallied multiple program all-time marks and a pair of personal bests to kick off the meet. In the field events, Trin Lavant (5.72m) and Kennedy Hood (6.20m) each delivered lifetime all-conditions bests in the long jump, highlighting a productive start for the jumps group.
