Chiles ties program record with eight-under 64 at Jekyll Island
SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sophomore Turner Chiles shot a career-best eight-under par 64 while freshman Aidan Tudor and senior Elias Becker also carded bogey-free rounds of 66 and 67, respectively, leading Sewanee men’s golf to a first-place tie Friday after the opening round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate in Jekyll Island, Ga. The Tigers shot 17-under par as a team in the first round, tied with Huntingdon College and eight strokes in front of Carnegie Mellon.
