MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Covenant baseball’s comeback effort came up short in game one of their series against Huntingdon, falling 9-4 in Montgomery on Friday evening. Nate Jones had a banner day at the leadoff spot, going 3-for-5 with an RBI, while Daniel Counts added a pair of RBIs. Behind 6-0 entering the seventh inning, the Scots were looking for answers against the Hawks’ Jacob McFarling (4-2).
