CLAREMONT, Calif. 鈥� Pomona-Pitzer baseball defeated La Verne 8-3 Friday in game one of the two teams’ three-game series. Season Impact: The win puts the Sagehens at 13-6 on the season, including 5-2 in SCIAC play. Greg Pierantoni led the team offensively with three RBI on two hits, while Jack Gold added two RBI.
