Youngsters Power Mammoths to Thursday Sweep of Clarkson, Westminster
CLERMONT, Fla. — First-year Jayla Adkins went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs in a Thursday-opening 9-4 win over Clarkson and sophomore Laura Daniels crushed a decisive 3-run home run in the nightcap, a 6-3 win over Westminster, as the Amherst College softball team pulled off a Thursday sweep to reach the .500 level (3-3) on te spring trip and season. The Mammoths are back at it Friday with a doubleheader. It begins at 9 a.m. with a game against Wisconsin-Oshkosh. It continues at 11:15 with a battle against Franklin & Marshall.
