HOUSTON, Tx. – The UW-River Falls track and field team sent its throwers to compete at the Kirk Baptiste Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston on Thursday, turning in a strong set of performances against a competitive field. On the men’s side, Charles Baker posted a throw of 49.94 meters (163-10) in the hammer throw, finishing fifth overall and recording a new personal-best in the first outdoor meet of the season.
