Spooner, Smith earn SWAC Co-Hitter and Co-Pitcher of the Week honors
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Florida A&M University softball’s Keeleigh Spooner and Samantha Smith were named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Co-Hitter of the Week and Co-Pitcher of the Week, respectively, the league announced. The honors follow a dominant weekend at Wiggins Field in which the Rattlers swept Mississippi Valley State in three games, outscoring the Lady Devilettes 26-0 across the series. Spooner, a catcher, put together one of the most complete offensive weekends of the season, going 6-for-10 at the plate with a home run, two doubles and nine RBI over the three contests.
