Outdoor Track & Field Kicks Off 2026 Season at Wes Kittley Invitational
ABILENE, Texas 鈥� The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros outdoor track & field teams will begin their 2026 season this weekend at Abilene Christian’s Wes Kittley Invitational at Elmer Gray Stadium. The meet will run Friday and Saturday. For UTRGV, Friday will see Matic Vidmar make his Vaqueros debut in javelin around 5:30 p.m. The only running event for UTRGV Friday will be the women’s and men’s 1,500-meter run, which starts at 8 p.m. Saturday will be full of action, starting with field events commencing at 12 p.m. The Vaqueros runners will get underway at 12:30 p.m.…
