Falcons Rebound in a Big Way, Down NYU in Five Innings
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The UW-River Falls softball team split its Thursday slate at THE Spring Games in Winter Haven, Florida, falling to Wellesley, 7-2, before bouncing back with a 10-0 (5 inn.) run-rule victory over New York University. In the opener, the Falcons created early opportunities but couldn’t keep pace with Wellesley’s hitting. After falling behind 2-0, UWRF answered in the third inning, capitalizing on aggressive baserunning to tie the game at 2-2.
