BASEBALL: Worn-out Pirates fall in championship game
PORT CHARLOTTE - When a baseball team plays a tournament that requires you to play three games in three days, it becomes a game of attrition. Teams are trying to find anyone who can get the ball over the plate and get some outs. Port Charlotte might have had that in Brock Budreau. However, an injury to one of his fingers while bunting has him on the shelf indefinitely. Thus, the Pirates lost a huge advantage.
