Women鈥檚 Lacrosse Shutout at Methodist
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team fell at Methodist University, 20-0, Wednesday night, March 18. The Titans stumble to 3-5 on the season, while Methodist moves to 6-3. Senior Sadie Newton (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) led the team with eight draw controls. Senior Anelise DiGiovanni (Lockport, Ill.-Lockport Township) added four draw controls. Newton tied for the team-lead in ground balls alongside freshman Allison Vervynck (Overland Park, Kan.-Saint Thomas Aquinas). The duo each scooped up three ground balls. Sophomore Cassie Fischmann (Normal, Ill.-Normal Community) and fifth-year Bri Kiser (Crown Point, Ind.-Crown Point) followed with two ground balls apiece....
