Women’s Golf: Cortland Finishes Fifth at Virginia Wesleyan Marlins Invitational
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – The Cortland women’s golf team began the spring portion of its season with a fifth-place finish at the Virginia Wesleyan University Marlins Invitational. The two-day tournament was conducted Monday and Tuesday at the Cypress Point Country Club. Cortland finished with a 356 on Monday and a 349 on Tuesday for a final score of 705. The Red Dragons were sixth after the first day but moved up to finish fifth, two strokes ahead of Mount Union (349-358-707). Southern Virginia won the team title with a 645 (310-335) and Virginia Wesleyan was second with a 662 (324-338).…
