UNK Athletics Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney women's golf team shot a 36-hole total of 603 to tie for first place at the annual SMSU Classic Tuesday in Litchfield Park, Ariz. The two-day, 12-team event was held at the par 70 Wigwam Resort/Blue Course (5,631 yards) and hosted by Southwest Minnesota State. The average score over the tourney was an 82.14. The Lopers fielded two teams with the "A" squad having rounds of 298 and 305. Illinois Wesleyan, Division III's 24th-ranked squad, had efforts of 299 and 304 to have the same total.
