Swayze earns U SPORTS All-Rookie Team honours
University of Regina first-year goaltender Amy Swayze was named to the U SPORTS All-Rookie Team on Wednesday night, earning national recognition after an outstanding debut season with the Cougars. Swayze, from Weyburn, Sask. and a product of the Weyburn Gold Wings program, quickly established herself as one of the top goaltenders in Canada West. She appeared in 17 conference games and posted a 6-9-1 record while compiling an impressive 2.14 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage.
