WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women’s lacrosse team played its final home non-conference game of the season on Wednesday evening and fell 17-9 to No. 25 Christopher Newport University. After the Hornets (5-3) came within one in the second quarter, the Captains (7-1) went on a half-ending 3-0 run to pull away in the non-conference clash of Virginia institutions.
