Nygaard Competes in 50 Freestyle at NCAA III Championships; Returns to Action Friday
Indianapolis, Ind. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse freshman Preston Nygaard of McFarland (H.S.) opened competition at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday at the IU Natatorium. Indiana University Indianapolis will serve as host of the championships. Nygaard competed in the 50 freestyle preliminaries, placing 49th (21.23). He is set to compete in the 100 breaststroke on Friday, March 20 and the 200 breaststroke on Saturday, March 21.
