Thewes Earns Athlete of the Week After Hitless Seven Inning Outing |NCAC Athlete of the Week Release Mar. 17| Sophomore Wade Thewes (Parker, CO/Lutheran) turned in a dominant outing on the mound to help lead the Tigers collect a 10-4 win over No. 19 Christopher Newport. Thewes earned the victory against the nationally ranked Captains, tossing 7.0 shutout innings while allowing just four hits and two walks and striking out six batters. He faced 25 batters in the start and limited opponents to a .174 batting average, securing his second win of the season.
