MILLINGTON — The strong winter for Pewamo-Westphalia has continued. Led by Elly Bengel and Adrianna Eklund, the P-W girls basketball team advanced to the state semifinals with a 55-33 victory over Cass City in a Division 3 quarterfinal on Tuesday, March 17, at Millington High School. The semifinal appearance is the first for P-W since it finished as the state champion in 2019. Bengel and Eklund finished with a team-best 10 points, while Peyton Eklund added nine points for P-W (25-2).
