Melnikov Garners Second Centennial Player of the Week Honor
LANCASTER, Pa. 鈥� Swarthmore College’s Michael Melnikov earned his second Centennial Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week award of the season on Tuesday. Melnikov went 5-1 over three matches against nationally-ranked opponents for the Garnet, going a perfect 3-0 in singles action. He lost at first doubles but bounced back for a 6-3, 6-2 victory at first singles versus No. 14 Trinity (Texas). Melnikov and partner Utham Koduri earned a 7-5 triumph in doubles and Melnikov had another straight-sets win, 7-5, 6-3, against No. 15 WashU.
