Kim, Men’s Golf Lead Through Round One of Kingsmen Invitational
MOORPARK, CA — No. 24 Pomona-Pitzer men’s golf dominated round one of the CLU Kingsmen Invitational. The Sagehens finished round one with a nine stroke lead over fellow SCIAC competitor Occidental. With winds gusting up to 30 mph, Moorpark played difficult, but the Hens managed the conditions well. Senior John Kim led the way with an impeccable 7-under 65. He put the team on his back, only dropping one shot on the difficult 9th. He closed with two eagles on his finishing par 5s, overpowering the second with 3 iron-wedge and a 25-footer right at the center of the cup.…
