Bangert Claims CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week Honors
NAPERVILLE – Linus Bangert of the Carthage men’s tennis team was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. Bangert, a freshman from Bagsv忙rd, Denmark, went 6-0 in singles play during the Firebirds spring break trip to Orlando, Fla. Bangert went 2-0 in No. 3 singles with wins against Cornell and Calvin, 3-0 in No. 4 singles with wins against Piedmont, St. Scholastica and Washington (Md.), 1-0 in No. 5 singles with a win against Wabash.
